Contradictory Statements?

by maestro96 » Sun Aug 05, 2012 12:54 am
Can two statements for data sufficiency questions provide contradictory information? Has anyone seen questions for which this is possible and each statement alone is sufficient? I think both statements together are sufficient cannot be the answer for such questions. Please clarify.

I have come across as few questions like you have mentioned where the answers from each statement is different.
But I tend to ignore this as target is to certify if the statements are sufficient in solving the questions and not the actual result, hence D.

Please advice if this approach is correct.

The two statements for data sufficiency questions cannot provide contradictory information.
In fact, you can use this fact to identify your own errors.
