I received a mail from the Director of Admissions from one of the universities and I want to send a reply to the mail. Apart from thanking him for writing, is there anything else that I have to write in the mail?

Also, Can I ask him questions about scholarships/ fee waivers available and about any assistantships/ other similar programs available?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Dear kavitha.venkatesh,

You do not have to respond nor is there anything you have to write in your note unless you need to respond to something in the mail you received from the Director. Should you decide to write back, then it is up to you on what you want to say. You can ask about scholarship or assistantship opportunities, but be sure these questions are not already answered on the school's website. You don't want to ask a question if the answer is on the website.

Regards,
Lisa
