when r = 0.1 and s = 1.1

1.1 X .1 = 0.11

sorry I mean rs greater than 1

why is the answer 1 only
and not 1 and 2

The question asks, "Which of the following MUST be less than 1"
Some students will read this as "Which of the following CAN be less than 1" in which case I, II and III would all be correct.

One counterexample is r=0.9 and s=1.9, in which case rs is greater than 1.
