Inequality ..Flip the sign!!!!

by majorsheetal » Wed Sep 29, 2010 1:47 am
If 0 < -B < -A then which of the following is true?

A. 0 > B > A
B. 0 > A > B
C. B > 0 > A
D. A > B > 0
E. A> 0 > B.

the OA is D

My take on this if we reverse the sign then it would become

0>B>A

Hence the ans should be A.

Is it Right ??

If u put a minus in front of a number and still it is greater than zero that means the number itself is less than zero. thus A and B can never be greater than zero.

0<-(-2) => -2 < 0

0 < -A => A<0
0 < -B => B<0

Ofc ourse answer is A.
