Hi All,
I took my GMAT on 3rd January, 2012. Here is my scorecard:
Overall 770 (99%ile)
QA 51 (98%ile)
VA 42 (95%ile)
AWA 5 (57%ile)
I took my GMAT without any preparation but I had prepared for Indian B-school entrance examinations an year and a half back, so that helped me. Since my basics are good and I have always done very well in aptitude tests, I was confident of doing well in GMAT.
However, I am not sure how good is my AWA, as my score report is showing 5/57%ile. I think 5 is good, but 57%ile is worrying me.
Another problem is I had reported my GPA to be 3.8, where as my GPA is shown as 3.5 in score card received. I have contacted Pearson Vue and they assured me they have updated the score report. But even after receiving the new score card, my GPA is shown as 3.5.
So, please let me know:
1) How good is my AWA. Is it sufficient for an Executive MBA program from INSEAD/Harvard/Stanford/Sloan?
2) How to get my GPA corrected? Can I report a different GPA while applying to schools?
3) What is considered a good GPA for admission into a top B-school programs?
I would be more than happy to answer any queries on how to do well in any aptitude exam, whether it's CAT/GRE/GMAT.
PS: I wanna sell my GMAT material. Here is the link regarding that info:
