In one of the most stunning reversals in the history of marketing, the Coca-Cola company in July 1985 yielded to thousands of irate consumers demanding that it should bring back the original Coke formula.

A. demanding that it should
B. demanding it to
C. and their demand to
D. who demanded that it
E. who demanded it to

Command subjective sentence. Any sentence of this type requires 'that' to be followed by the base form of the verb.

demanded that it bring

Hence E is wrong.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

Please underline the exact part under study :

demanded that ..... - is the correct idiom. hence D.

D: is the correct answer.
The command or bossy subjunctive follows a particular format of: 'bossy verb' + THAT + new subject + subjunctive form of the verb'
So in this case it would be:
Demanded +That +it +bring...
Demanded is the bossy verb, bring is the subjunctive verb used in its bare form.
A: does not follow the above form & demanding is a run on to the earlier clause and it is not clear who is demanding & what
B: Same as above
C: 'And' changes the meaning of the sentence & does not follow subjunctive construction
D: Right Choice
E: Does not follow Subjunctive construction
