I agree answer should be D

question is must be true, hence x could be any positive or negative value and z could be any value greater than 1

In I the question is assuming x=z, which is not stated anywhere in the question.

what is the source?

Thanks Guys....The source is not the official one. An Indian GMAT preparation book of a local publisher, so even I doubt the source.
