I remember seeign this problem recently. Will search the thread and post.

Meanwhile, here is my takeaway from Ron.

features is modifying planets. It should not be a verb but a participle modifier. So, "features" should be either present participle or past participle. But, because "the geological and climatic prerequisites " are something that are still featured by the planets, the modifier should take the form of a present participle.
