can anyone estimate my score??

by mohan514 » Sat Aug 25, 2012 3:01 am
i am getting just more than half of the questions right in all the three sections of my verbal

so a 50% success rate in my og diagnostic, mg test, 800score test..

i have just one month left for the exam..

what score will i get if i give the exam right now?

my quant scores are pretty decent so worried about verbal.

looking for 700

thanks in advance..

The best indication of your current skill level is to take a practice test (free from https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/download-fr ... tware.aspx).

Between now and test day, you should take several practice tests in order to work on your stamina and your test-taking skills (time management, guessing strategies, anxiety reduction, etc.)
These practice tests will also give you an idea of whether or not you need to reschedule your test to give you extra time to prepare.

Cheers,
Brent

You can take each practice test more than once, and you will not get that many repeats. Here's an article on the topic: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/03/ ... iple-times
The handful of repeated questions may skew your score results, but the extra practice is very beneficial.

Also keep in mind that several of the test prep companies on this site offer free practice tests.

You'll have to start taking practice tests at some point, so why not now? Just remind yourself that your score will improve.

Sure, if you can tell me how to score a goal in hockey without fail :-)
There are no guaranteed ways to get a mid-30 verbal score, but you'll find lots of tips throughout your studies, and throughout the BTG website.

yep, well said!

yesterday I watched a film, in which a guy told some story to a girl-

-(Guy) My friend has bought a car, but he says that he will drive it only when all traffic lights are green.
-(Girl) but it is ridiculous! he'd better try at least one time. He wont know what will be if he never takes that car out of his garage
-(Guy) exactly! never be scared of failure. always make attempts!

(well, his words were much stronger. it is just I couldnt repeat them properly:), but I hope I could explain the meaning )

you know, the lights cant be always green. we should not be scared of failure. Be ready to face that red lights in ur life :)
Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.(c)

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.(c)

Great stuff, LalaB!

On a similar note, I once heard a skiing instructor say, "If you aren't falling, then you aren't trying hard enough." That sentiment could be applied to pretty much everything in life.

See, that wasn't so hard :-)

610 is a great practice test score - congratulations!

Yes, it's possible to reach your target score in one month. Check out the stories in the "I Just Beat the GMAT" for inspiration and prep tips.

And keep taking practice tests!!
