first calculate 70% of 800: 800*7/10=560

Now we are supposed to take away y members of these employees.
560-y
They should now be equal to 60% =(3/5)of the employees of the company after y have left:
3/5*(800-y)

remember that now the total number of employees of the company has decreased.

therefore:
560-y=3/5*(800-y)
480-(3/5)y=560-y
(2/5)y=80
y=200
