1/2SH = 2*1/2sh

SH = 2sh
S = 2sh/H--equ 1

Now since the triangles are similar: s/S = h/H
Substitute this in equ 1

S = 2 s*(s/S)
S^2=2s^s
S = sqrt2.s

Option C.

Another property of similar triangles is

ratio of areas = square of ratio of sides

A-area of big trngle = 2a (given) S - SIDE
a - area of smaller trngl s - side

a / A = (s / S) ^ 2

a / 2a = s^2 / S^2

S = SQRT(2)s
