Age / Gender: 29 / Male
Bachelors Degree: Electrical and Power Engineering, University of Houston 3.65-
GMAT - 700 (i think i can bring this up to 720-30 range)
Work Experience:
10 years with Hewlett Packard although i would only consider 7 of that post graduate work (worked full time thru completion of Undergrad)
Started as Entry level Technnician promoted several times thru out career
Managed Software development team located in Taiwan for 2.5 years
Currently Platform Manager for Netbook Warranty and Support
Spent 2.5 years living and breathing the PC industry in Taipei dealing with manufacturing driving process with vendors etc.
Extra curricular: Not particularly strong as I worked full time and went to school full time so not a whole lot of free time. HOwever i am a member of a few organizations. Also i studied Mandarian in my free time in Taiwan can speak at intermediate level. Love to play soccer and american football. Volunteered with HP and University in the community. Also spent time in taiwan teaching grade school kids english as part of HP out reach program.
Career Goals: To return to Asia at an executive level position in the Consumer Electronics industry ( personal computer, Cell Phone, TV etc)
Interested in UC Berkley given their strong ties to Asia and Silicon Valley. Wharton, purdue, Boston university looking to apply for 2011
