Do I quailfy

by Obsessed » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:12 pm
So my profile is

Female Hispanic,31
B.A. UCSB Geography, 3.4 GPA
M.S. Montana State Land Resources and Environmental Science, 3.4 GPA
3 years WE for major Defense Contractor
TS/SCI
CAPM Certification from Project Management Institute
ASPRS Certified Mapping Scientist
2 peer reviewed journal Publication
Mother of 3

I am looking into an MBA. I have decided that I want to more than just a low-level management. I am, however, not management. I work as a Geospatial Analyst in Research and Development (income is 54K). I would like to pursue a career in the energy sector and am looking into UT or UCLA or USC. I am working on my GMAT now for application in the Fall 11-12.

So am I too old? Will I be a viable candidate if I don't have management experience? What are my chance of actually getting a decent job when I get out that will validate the expense of a MBA?

Thanks
