i have recently given my first gmat exam and i was disappointed with my score of 570.I have been studying regularly for the past 4 months.I feel my problem was maintaining the right pace, the RC section and also few concepts in quant.I want to aim for the top colleges hence i am planning to retake the test after 2-3 months.kindly suggest ways in which i could improve my score to 750.
Hi Tania,
I had a friend with a similar experience. And what worked for him was that he started with a clean slate. It is clear that the approach you used the first time was not effective. There are a variety of things you can change - the material that you are using, your study behavior, studying with a partner etc.
Also, try to start logging down your weaker areas and prioritizing them. It will help you allocate your time and effort efficiently.
I am not an expert but from a jump from 570 to 750 is challenging. It is KEY you stay positive and determined.
Maybe the gurus can weigh in their opinions.
Good luck.
