greatest GMAT area for improvement

I heard that studying sentence correction is probably the best area of improvement for most students. I think most ppl would agree on that. Are there any other topics where students can improve their score by studying?

Im just wondering b/c i got a 500 (35quant 23 verbal) and really want to get a 580+ to get into the program i had in mind. I studied sentence correction and i think I know it well enough to move on to another topic.

I'm going to consider doing the 60day study thing once I mastered topics that can really help my score by a lot.

Hutch,

Good questions -- although I'd challenge your assumption a bit. I think students can improve their score in EVERY area by understanding their strengths and weaknesses and developing better tools/approaches on how to deal with different types of questions.

Encouraging news though -- 500 to 580+ is well within reach. I'd encourage you to take a look at Stacey's post -- https://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... ould-i-do/ -- it's chock full of wonderful details on what to do in a situation similar to yours.

Take a read and allow yourself the opportunity to do an 'inventory' of what's going well, what's not, and what's just 'okay'. Think of categorizing your performance/comfort-level as you would a traffic light -- red, yellow, green. That prioritization will help your efforts moving forward.
