b. No. "uses"
c. Keep it.
d. No. Change in meaning.
e. Keep it. Compared with is used correctly.

The phrase after 'comma' should be parallel to 'percent of the energy produced in France'.

If you see option C: whereas nuclear power accounts for just over 33 percent of the energy produced in Germany
