Timing in GMAT

by gmatblood » Wed Nov 02, 2011 4:57 am
Hi,

I have a doubt, suppose if i finish say Quant session in 60 mins, will i have an extensive break time say, 15 + 5, or just the 5 mins.

If not, What if i dont press the end session button, as i have 15 mins more for the session and leave the place, so that i can have 15 more mins of break! :) :)

Am i allowed to do it?

Please clarify!

Thanks

Even i though of this, given that i have almost over 1 min in every mock GMAT left in quant.
But as mock GMAT has shown,u cant just end the session and hope for that 15 mins to get added into your break.

Personally, i tend to close my eyes and take a sort of mental break.
If OA is A, IMO B
If OA is B, IMO C
If OA is C, IMO D
If OA is D, IMO E
If OA is E, IMO A

FML!! :/

You will not be allowed to move out of your seat without the proctor accompanying you, he will end your session, start the 8 min break and then walk you out. So you can do two things

1.Forget about the 15 min break and let it go. Utilize the 8 min break to refresh yourself and be back to your seat or

2.While away the time sitting in the exam hall and prepare something for verbal section before moving out. Writing down options for further use, Some rules/strategy in your scratch pad or exchanging that etc.

I would say go for 1. Let it go, return quickly and finish the verbal without losing the enthusiasm. The more quicker the less tired you are.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

How about a mix of both 1 and 2?

As in for 5 minutes of those 15, take notes and exchange that pad and then leave the room so as to return quickly!

What say?
