An artist is creating new designs

An artist is creating new designs for a wall by intersecting shapes.Each additional pt. of intersection creates a new design.If 2 shapes intersect at 1 pt,thats one design;if they intersect at 2 pts thats a second design;if they intersect at 3 pts thats a third design.If the designer is working with circles and triangles,what is the mx. no of distincet designs she can make?

The answer is 6. There are 6 different ways in which a triangle can intersect a circle.

It can intersect in 1 point, 2 points, 3 points, 4 points, 5 points, 6 points.
