GMAT in the final year of graduation

by casinaroyale » Mon Oct 13, 2008 2:32 am
Hey guys

I am presently in the 4th year of my graduation (Its a 5year dual degree course in Engineering ). So, I am planning to give my GMAT this summer. As most B-schools take only guys with experience, is it possible that I apply 2-3 years down the line with this GMAT score? How advantageous would this proposition be? Or is it better that I take the test only before applying?

Could someone throw some light on what I should do?
My profile:
GPA: 3.2
Extra Curriculars: Decent
College: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur
Thanks in advance

Regards
Casina

This is a good idea. Most schools accept GMAT scores up to 5 years old, so as long as you apply sometime before 5 years are up you'll be fine. Also, since you're in "school mode" right now, you might find it easier to study and take the exam than you would in a few years.

I've had a few students who were juniors or seniors in college do this exact thing.

Good luck!
