Hi Beat The GMAT community:

I wanted to give the community a heads up that in the next month or two, we will be running ads on this website. Because of great members like you, Beat The GMAT has grown to become one of the most important GMAT resources on the Internet.

As a commitment to serving the needs of even more people in the future, the time has come to start raising additional funds to aid our development. We see ads as a low-hanging lever to pull to raise capital for new features, bigger scholarships, and even more prep resources.

The ads will be running on the right-side of this page. And we will only accept advertising dollars from vendors whom we trust.

Thanks very much to everyone for helping to make this community so fantastic. I look forward to working with you to drive the next chapter of Beat The GMAT's growth!

All the best,

Eric

Just curious:

There was a time when BTG ran Google ads. Was that really helpful? Did Btg make any( or atleast meet monthly hosting expense) money?

We made some money, but our traffic was significantly less back then. Costs are definitely on the rise for us, now that we migrated to some fancy dedicated servers.

But again, the capital we need will mainly go to future feature developments. We want to spend 2009 seriously updating the look and feel and building new resource areas. Should be a fun ride for everyone!
