Improving Timing on CR

by AbhiJ » Mon Nov 07, 2011 1:56 am
Currently I take 2-2.5 mins to answer a CR question. I want to bring to 1.5 - 2 mins.
Completed 0G12 CR (used Powerscore CR along side) with 95% accuracy.

My gut feeling says - i need to solve hundreds of CR problems before i can get to the 90 second timing.

Try taking notes. Four major type of question we get in CR strengthen/support, Weaken, Assumption, Must Be true/inference/Conclusion. Notes can be helpful in all these with more time for the last. Write down conclusion alone for the first 3 type and and premises for the last type.

Advantages:
You comprehend better.
You don't have to cram everything in mind
Striking out answer choices will be easier to separate right/wrong choices.
You can avoid rechecking.

All these together saves time.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.
