Interview Scheduling

by tlmisc2008 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 9:47 am
Hi, I was wondering if you could shed some light on whether or not the timing of one's interview (at the beginning of the interview period or towards the end) has any impact. Say one can schedule an interview from November 1 to November 30, would it be preferred to have it earlier in that period and would the admissions committee negatively view scheduling an interview towards the later end? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your post. To answer your question, no, I don't think the timing of the interview has any sort of impact on the decision. I always advise my clients to schedule their interviews with enough time to adequately prepare. The adcom gives you window in an effort to make scheduling easier for the candidate, not to evaluate their response time.

Best,

Stacey
