Sudoku -- Good training for POE?

by XLogic » Mon Oct 11, 2010 10:48 am
I'm in search of your collective wisdom on this.

I've heard that Sudoku sharpens POE skills for LSAT -- parallel processing, Logic games etc.
"Aha! Sudoku could also do the same for GMAT" I think to myself.

What say y'all... Does this assertion have merit? If so, How? Explain in full detail please.

OMG.. Lot of innovation.

Sudoku might help in keeping mind busy. But, I dont know how it could help in POE. Whoever suggested you this, I recommend you to ignore this and go ahead with your preparation.

GMAT preparation is much more exciting than a game of Sudoku. So you will not think of Sudoku once you are deep into your prep. In case you are very much interested/addicted to Sudoku. you can do it as a stress buster whenever you are stressed out in your preparation.

In one line: Practicing Sudoku only improves your Sudoku skills and defintely not GMAT skills.

All the best with your prep.

Cheers!!
