Urgent: Help in Verbal

Hi,

I gave GMAT on 29/04/2011 and got : 600(Q:49, V:22)
Verbal: What I did
1) OG 12
2) OG Verbal 2nd review
3) Manual for GMAT- Princeton Review
4) Had a glance at SC guide by MGMAT

I gave all the MGMAT tests and was scoring roughly between 28-32 in the tests and the GMAT prep, the score was around 25-28
But didn't work that well in the Main test

On 19/07/2011 I went for my attempt #2 and got 620 (Q: 48, V:27)
This time for verbal:
1) I did OG 12 again and looked at each question which I got wrong and maintained a tracker.
2) I went through SC guide by MGMAT completely
3) I went through CR Powerscore
Also, I gave the MGMAT tests again and was scoring between 32-36
In the GMAT Prep my verbal score was between 31-38

But faced another disappointment after the test

Now the BIG question lies in front of me.. Should I retake the exam in another 1 month or take some time off.
The thing is I wanted to apply for Fall 2012 session.
Now if I take the exam in 1 month then what should be my strategy to get a good verbal score ( My aim was to get 700+) ?

Experts please help me...

What kind of problems were tripping you up the most? If you were not missing many CR or RC questions, you probably don't need to be going over them as much. The forums are pretty good places to get extra practice questions with detailed responses.

Also, I believe you can sign up for a "Verbal Question of the Day" on this site to be e-mailed to you that could be pretty helpful

Hi bradenm2,

Thanks for the speedy response.
What i learned from my practice and the tests was that I was doing decently well in the CR.
My average hit rate was 11-12 for 16 questions in SC during the practice tests.
In RC my performance varied drastically. Some time I got 11 of 13 whereas some time it was only 5 of 13.

Any suggestions, as to should I retake the exam after 1 month?

PS: For RC, I started dong RC99 but was able to complete only 12 passages due to time constraints.
