Hi,
I thought after giving GMAT I will have a clear picture as to what path should I follow but the result left me clueless to my next steps forward.I hold the following credentials:
UG: B.Tech (ECE-73%)
PG: Masters in Economics (DU) (62%)
CFA Level 3 candidate (Level-1 -2010 ,Level-2-2011)
Work Experience : 2 years (Mckinsey and Co)
GMAT SCORe:700 (Q-50,V-34)
I plan to work in the finance sector (Investment banking/PE/VC/Financial Advisory)post my MBA.Now with the above profile I have got mixed reviews from various counselors whom I have visited and now I am perplexed as to what shall I do next. Some say the schools mentioned above are beyond my reach with the above credentials ( though Cornell and ISB can still be looked into).I am not so keen on these two schools as they offer limited or no option to go into investment banking and majorly focus on consulting.I am very keen on Yale/Booth/UCLA as they have greater options for the opportunities I am looking for.
I would be grateful if you guys could pitch in here and put forth your thoughts on this. What shall be my next steps forward? (Re-take of GMAT/Another year of work ex/Seek onsite opportunities/etc).
Please help me
