Hi,
First off, congratulations on your score of 720! In regard to your question about the AWA my response depends on whether or not English is your native language. The AWA is quite helpful for adcoms in evaluating international applicants to US bschools. It's a great indicator of their language ability and communication skills. Where as bschool essays tend to be quite polished and perfected, the written portion of the GMAT has the writer under a time crunch and can better demonstrate a basic grasp of language/communication skills. However, if English is your native language the AWA isn't as big of a concern. Adcoms tend to view 4.5 as the cutoff score for native speakers.
Best,
Stacey

Hi, Stacey! Thank you for your helo. English is not my first language; I was born in US but I grew up in Indonesia. I went to college in US, though. So, would you suggest I take another GMAT to try fix my AWA score, then?
Thank you, again!

No, I don't think it's necessary given you went to college in the US. Just write some amazing essays and you'll be just fine!
Best,
Stacey
