Hello,

I was as a Business process consultant, primarily focusing business process improvement and IT. Having spend 5 years in the consulting domain, and worked globally with brands like ESPRIT, H&M etc ...wish to diversity into management consulting.

My Stats
Academics : Engineer (8.0/10.0)
GMAT : 710
IELTS = 7.5
Work-EX = 6 yrs (consulting) - across Europe

I am having second thoughts about going to rotman, where I have already secured an admission, because I feel with my profile I have a change with top US Bschools.

However the problem I face is identifying schools
Do you think I have good shot at schools like Cornell, Anderson, Tepper, Yale ?

Regards,
Dheeraj

Hello, Dheeraj,

From the brief information you've provided, I'd consider the schools you mention to be reasonable reaches - but definitely reaches. Other factors that would affect your competitiveness include your demographic group (if you're from India, with Indian applicants' higher scores and large representation, these schools would be slightly higher reaches); your impact, leadership, and accomplishment on the job; commitment to extracurricular involvements; the case you can make for your goals.

After you assess these other factors also, you'll have a better sense of how competitive you are -- please do check the link I provide above, which will lead you to steps to determine your completitiveness.

Best regards,
