Scope for improvement in CR , RC and SC

So here's my take on it:
CR: there is no one single proven technique to nail this. Powerscore CR is great. But you need to practise CR so much that you start internalizing the rules of powerscore CR and eventually develop a strategy to tackle each question. But still, a major component of tackling these questions will eventually depend upon your own interpretation in the end. Stamina will play a huge huge huge factor in getting this right. If I assume that my logical reasoning skills will remain constant, excessive practice and stamina is going to help me get a better hit rate on this
RC: No proven strategy. A combination of CR skills and again your intuitive reasoning skills. Stamina and practice for this too.
SC: Definitely room for improvement. manhattan SC, wren and martin, grammar books etc can get your hit rate up to 100%.
So, if you can get a hit rate of 75%+, 75%+ and 90%+ in CR, RC and SC respectively then you can easily get in the low 40s in verbal. And if your quant is 48+ then you are all set for a 100K bank loan ;) (unless you ace an 800 and get a tuition waiver)
200 or 800. It don't matter no more.

good analysis but I can't understand where do I stand in verbal..I tried each and every tactic but couldn't get improved my verbal score in gmatprep...however I got 35 once in gmatprep1 and in manhattan usually 31-36, now when there are only 3 weeks left, I end up with 25 consistently in gmatprep and I make most mistakes in SC only.

I don't understand what to do

my take on it:

CR: i disagree with the OP.. i actually think that you can improve in this section if you study the right ways. I've never studied with any GMAT book for this subject, but I have read through LSAT books in the past and concentrated on the strategies given in these books

RC: practice makes perfect. For the first question in an RC section, I'll usually read the question first, and then read the passage after. This worked for me on the actual GMAT.

SC: agreed, the manhattan gmat sentence correction book helped me. Also, reading through the detailed explanations on their CAT tests helped a great amount as well

Well...as has always been the case....a different outlook. Here i am with mine:

RC: Read opinion texts especially the ones from nytimes.com. I prefer that. Heard economist is also good. Focus on words that hint a change of logic. And spend no more than 30% of (number of questions X 2) min reading the passage. Kaplan and Manhattan were materials of my choice compared to Princeton. LSAT RC can get you more for practice.

CR: Princeton rocks. Thats what i felt and am pretty confy on this section. I feel this can be highly improved following the BTG forums as a lot of varied questions are updated each day. I find the CR forum particularly more active than others. I dont mind solving a few daily during my lunch break at office. Kaplan 800 has got some very good questions.

SC: I guess everyone almost shall agree if i say that MGMAT SC is the best. The rules are clear and well in depth considering the GMAT scope. Am still working on it so no further comments.

Tried playing Grockit on a free subscription especially the custom game section. I loved it. It's so different when you get a mix of questions from different sections and that clock in front of you keeps ticking.havent tried anything else. Planning to go for a paid account.

Hope someone feels helped.
