"People should be strictly prohibited from using their cellular phones in public places where their conversations could disturb others: on the bus, at a restaurant, or in a museum."

From your perspective, how accurate is the above statement? Support your position with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.

With the advent of cellular phones , there was a complete change where people present in different places could simultaneously talk each other . Cellular phones defeated landline phones with one single factor : mobility . Hence, they are also called mobile phones . This gave us a right to talk anyone situated in part of the world from anywhere on earth , but with right comes the responsibility of using it sensibly .It must not cause disturbance to the people who are no stakeholders in your private conversation . I completely support the view expressed in the issue and would like to strengthen it .

Firstly , using mobile phones in bus should be strictly prohibited. The other day I was traveling in a bus , I noticed AVOID THIS list in the bus behind the driver which mentioned to keep the cell phones in silent mode . It clearly mentioned how using cell phones disturb the driver's concentration. Even the loud ring tones aid in disturbing the driver's focus. What actually happened was a passenger who neither kept the phone in silent mode nor spoke in gentle manner . The loud ring-tone and above-the-average decibels was irritating to both the fellow passengers and pity driver. The instruction behind driver's seat went unnoticed and I believe prohibiting cell phone usage in bus would go a long way.

We go restaurants for a break and experience food in a relaxing atmosphere . Not so long ago, I went to restaurant with a group of friends and ordered a la-carte lunch . Suddenly , one of our friends got a call. He started jumping and speaking at top of his voice. Surely, people sitting next to us stared at us and was a total embarrassment .Even though he received a good news, the mobile etiquette he used to brag about went on a toss . So , prohibiting cell phones in restaurants will not only avoid embarrassment but also helps all present to have a food in a peaceful manner.

Museums are source of immense knowledge which transport you to the era where we could never be part of . People come here to explore the knowledge through various artifacts and understand the information provided near them. It is difficult to assimilate such information if cell-phones of a strangers next to you ring suddenly and they engage themselves in a never-ending conversation. People just have to move away from that scene . Prohibiting cell-phones would never have deprived the experience of the people who were at the receiving end of the entire cell-phone scene .

In fact, the above three incidents completely support the view that if cellular phones were prohibited in public places , the people who were not involved directly would have relished their experience rather than facing the brunt .

P.S : This was written during MOCK TEST .
