Improving Critical Reasoning skills

by Stockmoose16 » Mon Oct 06, 2008 9:20 am
Hello,

I've been consistently scoring in the 72nd percentile on the verbal section. My weakness is 700+ level CR questions. I've done nothing to study for the verbal section, since math was my Achilles heel. On my baseline test, I scored 91st percentile verbal, but I've never repeated such a high score.

What is the best way to improve CR skills for the 700+ questions? I go over my MGMAT CATS and find myself baffled by the correct answers. Any recommendations?

Hi
I recently took my GMAT ..a week back to be precise..however my performance in the test was totally disappointing and unexpected.I was consistently scoring over 600 ie between 620-680 in the mock tests and also touched a 710 once.however my actual score in the gmat dropped to a 570 with the following break ups
Quans:42
Verbal:27
AW:5.5
i am planning to retake my gmat again in december,i want to know how i cld improve my verbal score considerably.
I have used the following books
og11 and the verbal and quans work books
kaplan premier book and verbal and quans books
gmat power prep and kaplan cd material
Please let me know what i have to do to beat the gmat the next time and how i could improve on my score.Looking forward to a response .
