If the airspace around centrally located airports were restricted to commercial airliners and
only those private planes equipped with radar, most of the private-plane traffic would be forced
to sue outlying airfields. Such a reduction in the amount of private-plane traffic would reduce
the risk of midair collision around the centrally located airports.
Which of the following, if true, would most strengthen the conclusion drawn in the second
sentence?
A. Commercial airliners are already required by law to be equipped with extremely
sophisticated radar systems.
B. Centrally located airports are experiencing overcrowded airspace primarily because f
sharp increases in commercial-airline traffic.
C. Many pilots of private planes would rather buy radar equipment than be excluded from

Such a reduction (the reduction in the number of private-plane traffic, as most of them are not equipped with radar) in the amount of private-plane traffic would reduce the risk of midair collision around the centrally located airports.

Which of the following, if true, would most strengthen the conclusion drawn in the second sentence?

A. Commercial airliners are already required by law to be equipped with extremely sophisticated radar systems.
That's good, but this does not provide any support for the main conclusion that how the reduction in the volume of the private plane traffic would reduce the risk of midair collision around the centrally located airports. So, it has no impact on the above argument. It only supports the premise of the first statement.

B. Centrally located airports are experiencing overcrowded airspace primarily because of sharp increases in commercial-airline traffic.
As per this option statement, the overcrowding at the centrally located airports is due to the sharp increase in commercial airline traffic, so even if the private plane traffic is reduced as per the proposed reduction, the overcrowding at the centrally located airport will not decrease. So, this option does not strengthen the main conclusion that the reduction of the private plane traffic will reduce the risk of mid air collision, as still after the reduction of the private planes, there will still be overcrowding of commercial airline traffic.
But what about the conclusion, which says that such a reduction in the amount of private-plane traffic would reduce the risk of midair collision around the centrally located airports. This option does not provide any support for the conclusion.

C. Many pilots of private planes would rather buy radar equipment than be excluded from centrally located airports.
**Can someone help in explaining this option?**
As per my understanding,
This option statement basically means that most private planes will be equipped with radar, so they will still be overcrowding the centrally located airport and thus the mid air collision will not be reduced. Thus, it somewhat weakens the main conclusion.

D. The number of midair collisions that occur near centrally located airports has decreased in recent years.
That the number of midair collisions has recently decreased is irrelevant to whether the proposed reduction would further reduce collisions, so D is inappropriate.

E. Private planes not equipped with radar systems cause a disproportionately large number of midair collisions around centrally located airports.
This option strengthens the conclusion, as the private planes not equipped with radar systems will now be using the outlying airfields so the mid air collisions around the centrally located airports will be reduced.

Can someone help in providing the explanation for option C. I am not sure with this option. Thanks in advance.
