A board-game manufacturer recently won a lawsuit against an online game developer for creating an unauthorized online version of a popular copyrighted board game. As a result of this lawsuit, online game developers will stop making unauthorized imitations of copyrighted board games. Therefore, game development costs for online game developers will rise, because buying the rights to copyrighted board games is expensive.

The conclusion above is based on which of the following assumptions?

A Many people are unable to tell the difference between an authorized or unauthorized version of an online board game.
B Games that imitate well-known board games are usually more entertaining than other online board games.
C The original versions of some copyrighted board games are unavailable to many consumers.
D Game development companies will create online games that borrow elements from copyrighted board games.
E Game developers will continue to develop online versions of copyrighted board games.

Is it E?

The "added" cost is associated with copyrighted games, and therefore only if online game developers continue to imitate copyrighted games will the cost go up.
Yep.

IMO: E

because the argument assumes that the online game developers will continue developing copyrighted board games only.

You can imitate elements of copyrighted games, such as using tokens as game pieces (Monopoly), but it doesn't mean that you're imitating a copyrighted game.

I guess this question may require a little bit of pre-notion about copyrighted materials.

My signature is in reference to this weekend's game.
Yep.

remerber you posted this CR before....

E and B could be the answer, between them, E seems to be right
D is not revelent i think because it says " will create online games...." is mentioned in the text. its close to "copy or imitate the popular game so that they got sued

D is not irrelevant in my opinion. If game developers decide not to base their games on popular board games, they will not buy rights and so the cost will not increase. The assumption here therefore is that this will not happen and therefore costs will increase. D states exactly that.
