How many 4 digits numbers are such that sum of the digits is 10?

@experts - can such type of question appear in GMAT. If yes, can you please help me understand the approach. Thanks.

This question is beyond the scope of the GMAT.

Hi student4gmat,

What is the source of this question? I agree with Brent that this question is way too layered to show up on the Official GMAT, so I'd be suspicious of whatever source gave you this to practice with.

Did the original question include 5 answer choices to work with (or use for comparison/estimation purposes)?

Hi Rich,

I am practising the basics of P&C these days from some video tutorials which is available for free. This question was given in that tutorial. However that tutorial is supposed to be for a variety of tests related to quant so that may be the reason that this is not a GMAT like question. Even I felt so..hence thought to take experts' opinion. Thanks.

By mistake I solved the question in which the sum of the digits is less than or equal to 10

For finding the answer of your question only one partition is to be avoided and you will get the answer
