In B and C, their (plural) does not agree with corporation (singular).
Eliminate B and C.

D: only were taken...not those
Here, were taken (verb) is illogically contrasted with those (pronoun).
Eliminate D.

E: only taken...not those
Here, taken (participle) is illogically contrasted with those (pronoun).
Eliminate E.

The correct answer is A.
