direction screens and breaks during gmat?

by zoolie » Mon Dec 08, 2008 11:04 am
Are you allowed to jot down notes during the timed screens explaining directions or during the 10 min. breaks? For example, if I wanted to write down a timing grid of where I should be on each quant problem, can i do this during the break b/n the writing part and quant part? Can I do this while a directions screen is up explaining the quant section? Or is this considered cheating? Thanks for any input!!!!

You can definitely do this during the timed instructions period. I don't think this would work during the break, however, since the proctor logs you in and out of the computer, and the clock will start running again as soon as you're logged back in.

I'm worried about this too. When would be the ideal time to do this?

I need to write my time sheet for Verbal and Quant, it'll take me about 20 seconds. Should I do it after I confirm my second essay?
