[m] = 3m when even
[m] = 1/2 m when odd

[9] * [6]

[9] = 3*9=27
[6] = 6*1/2 = 3

27*3 = 81

[81] = 3*81 = 243 incorrect.
[27] = 3*27 = 81 correct.
