@viv_gmat "have been awarded" mean they won the Nobel Prize IN THE PAST. That means the "lauding" happened IN THE PAST. We don't use the word "lauded" like an adjective. It would be awkward to say, "He is a lauded person." You would say, "He WAS lauded for his work."
