Hello, I have been studying for 6 weeks already. I feel like I have a good understanding now of the concepts tested on the GMAT but when I do the drills I get all the info mixed up. I feel like there are so many topics, that I don't know which one to do first. For example, I think I need to improve in reading, but if I concentrate too much on it, I will forget some math tactics. I have read many posts, but I still don't know how to balance all the topics. I sometimes fee overwhelmed.

Any advice will be appreciated! Thank you!

PS. I might take the test at the end of May, I guess that's enough time to find an excellent strategy.

I'd suggest "rotating concepts" by studying in shorter blocks. Try to hit a little bit of Verbal and Quant each day. For example, if you know you have 3 hours to study, you could do 1 hour of SC concept review, 1 hour of Algebra review, and 1 hour of RC practice. Mix it up, but don't let more than 3 days go by without "hitting" every question-type. There's only 5 types of question formats: PS, DS, CR, SC, and RC -- so this is totally do-able. :-) If your strategies are solid for each question type, it's okay if you don't come back to a concept for a week or so. Just keep analyzing and attacking your weaknesses.

Hi Vivian,

I just started using Grogkit and I really like it. I recently completed the Princeton review and I have a good understanding of the concepts but seems like I cannot apply them since I keep making errors or I just don't know how to solve the question in less than 2 mins. I already schedule the exam for May 04. Do you think I still have time? also, If I concentrate on the Website and the OG, do you think that should be enough (practicing at least 2 hrs per day/reviewing the explanations) to go from 500 (where I am now) to over 700? Should I postpone my test?

I really need to get a high score, but making mistakes discourage me

Thank you,

Angie
