Hi... I graduated with my bachelors in September and decided last minute to apply for a masters at the LSE (MSc Finance and Econ) in the hope that they may still consider my application even though I have applied very late. However much to my surprise they have asked for a GMAT and have advised me to do it as soon as possible, so I booked it for the 15th i.e. one week away.
I have no experience in GMAT and I just did the practice exam on mba.com and scored 640 (Q.48 V.29). I'm not too concerned with the quantitative but have obviously messed up the verbal section. The majority of my mistakes were in SC and CR (not so much in CR).
I wanted to know what is the best thing I can do now to prepare. I have bought the Official Guide, but is this the best place to start i.e. to just start doing practice questions without knowing the grammar rules enough etc....
