Let S = Selling Price

S = 150 + .4S

.6S = 150

S = 250

Profit = Selling Price - Purchase Price

Profit = 250 - 150

Profit = 100

thank you

A furniture dealer
Quick way to solve this problem is to plug-in.

PP + plugin every answer choice here and calculate it's 40%

for (E), 150 + 100 = 250, it's 40% = 100 is nothing but the profit the seller makes... All other figures don't match or are awkward. HTH.
Success is tough... But Achievers get it! Against ALL Odds!!!
