I need a new strategy

by ufdan » Thu Mar 19, 2009 7:18 am
I recently scored a 580 on the GMAT. I want to score in the high 600's and I need help putting together a new study plan.

I scored Q34/V35. I'd like to bump my Q to the mid 40 range. I've done the OG11 problems at least twice. I've taken the GMAT prep test on mba.com 4 times 1st Q39/V35, 2nd Q41/37. I seem to have the most trouble with DS. Does anyone have any reading suggestions on improving on the basics of GMAT math to get me to the Q45 range?

Ufdan,

To keep improving your math, I'd say to go through the GMATPrep math again. To maximize what you get out of GMATPrep, and to make sure you draw the correct lessons from the quant questions on your tests, do a careful analysis of why you get each question wrong. Study the GMATPrep solutions and explanations from gmatfix.

As for putting together a study plan, thanks to other postings on this site I drew up a plan that worked wonders for me. You can read it in my debrief at www.tinyurl.com/gmatpost
