Hey guys, for this question I already received a nice answer from the expert that allowed me to solve it. I was just wondering if what I did is correct or a pure lucky guess.
Here is the question;
For which of the following functions is f(a+b) = f(a)+f(b) for all positive numbers a and b?
f(x)=x2 ; f(x)= x+1; f(x) = √x ; f(x)= 2/x; f(x)= -3x
Now in order to resolve it I replace a=1, b=2. giving me;
f(3)= f(1)+f(2)
Which I would then try for every possibility.
Correct way to do it? or pure luck?
Many thanks
Lukas
