A common social probelm in workspace occurs (when workers accept supervisiory positions, and it causes them to lose) the trust of their former coworkers.

- when workers accept supervisory positions and so lose

can somebody explain why is this correct..are there any more such cases/ types which are uncommon

besides though i have my own doubts shouldnt the sentence be
- so loses....

or loses is incorrect expression here

thnks in advance

Since the subject (workers) is plural, lose must be used.

It is easy to see the difference in this sentence.
- Mark should stop playing before he loses the game.

vs.
-They should stop playing before they lose the game.

I hope this helps. :D
