(61) A barn is enclosed in the shape of a 6-sided figure; all sides are the same length and all angles have the same measure. What is the area of the enclosed space?
1.Each side is 100 feet long.
2.The distance from the center of the barn to the midpoint of one of the sides is 503√ feet

The barn is in the form of a REGULAR HEXAGON: a 6-sided figure in which all sides are equal and all angles are equal.

Statement 1: Each side is 100 feet long
Since the length of each side is known, the area of the regular hexagon can be determined.
SUFFICIENT.

Statement 2: The distance from the center of the barn to the midpoint of one of the sides is 50√3 feet
Since all sides are EQUAL, statement 2 implies that the distance between the center and the midpoint of EVERY SIDE is 50√3 feet.
The result is a UNIQUE regular hexagon whose area can be determined.
SUFFICIENT.

The correct answer is D.
