Hi,
I'm looking to enter business school in Fall 2009.
Profile as follows:
GMAT: 650; AWA 4.0 (first attempt)
I know this is pretty poor; looking to do it again, but due to the lack of prep time, i reckon i'll probably still end up with a sub-700 score, probably 680 - 690
Graduated with BSc Economics in 2001, First Class Honours from a UK university
(undergraduate prize for top student in economics faculty; 1 year of calculus and statistics with near perfect scores for those modules, 98%)
Non-traditional background
I'm an officer in the navy, I spent 10 years in the Navy, with a 3 year break to do my undergraduate degree.
Over the years, multiple overseas deployment including twice to the Gulf
Currently, XO of a warship, i guess you can call it a management level position for a small-medium enterprise
Choices
LBS
INSEAD
Columbia
Oxford SAID
Cambridge JUDGE
Pls advise if the choices above are feasible, given my less than ideal GMAT scores and my non-traditional background.
In addition, could you advise if the non-traditional background is a disadvantage ? If so, how do i mitigate it or turn it to my advantage ?
Regards and thanks in advance
