Bschool Fumblings

by Ramneet Singh » Wed Jan 11, 2012 6:18 am
Are there others who forgot to remove a bschools name while tweaking the essays for the other bschools ?
I forgot to remove a bschool's name from an app for duke . I hit myself in the foot . I didnt even copy the whole essay.I just copied a very generic and cliched line about contributing to the bschool;something that most bschool apps have in common.
Will such an error at a single place be forgiven ? Is that a deal Breaker ? Coincidentally I worked the hardest on my Duke essays .

Ouch. It may not be a deal breaker. But it's not good. Sloppiness hurts. Especially when it comes to school specific stuff. It makes you seem careless at best, and they also have their own honor to defend.

In your case, given the seriousness of the error, I would send them an email explaining.
