Dear heohong,

Depending on your GMAT score, you have a competitive profile for your target list. The schools will expect you to address why now versus gaining more experience first. If scholarship awards are your first priority, then you might consider applying to schools outside the top 30 also. Often, schools with smaller applicant pools and class sizes will average larger awards.

Good luck,
Lisa

profile evaluation

by paruloberai » Thu Sep 10, 2009 11:17 pm
Hello Stacey,

pls review my profile.

1. I am a Computer Science Engineer currently working in Nokia Siemens Networks ( in a PreSales Dept). My work experience till Sept 2010 would be 3yrs and 4 months. I know that Bath minimum requirement is of 3 yrs work exp.

2. I have already given GMAT and scored a 640 with a good quant score. However, I am planning to retake GMAT and hence, need to stand out in terms of my score.

3. I am having an international exposure and one of my recommendors is the Global Sales Manager working in NSN, Italy. I have demonstrated good leadership skills in my current role.

4. Bachelors of Engineering ( 4 yrs) from India. got 76% and was one of the toppers of my college and once a university topper. Decent Extra Curricular Activities.

I need to have a fair idea that should I go forward and apply with this score and if yes, then which all schools should i target in terms of quality of education, Financial assistance and post MBA placements or should I wait for another attempt ( GMAT date is 19 th oct, tentative) and apply with that score.

For US i am targetting Kelley, Duke, Boston, Darden, Ggeorge Town etc. If you can suggest any other where i have good chances, pls let me know.

I am also targetting UK schools like Bath, Manchester, Judge Business schools etc. What are my chances 4 them.

I need to apply as soon as possible to increase my chances of admission. Waiting for your response.

thanks,
parul.
