I'm a college junior in Ivy engineering applying to the HBS 2+2 program and have a grand total of 2 weeks to prepare for the GMAT (didn't have time to study during the semester). I'm not too concerned though since I have a 1550 SAT and got 700 on a diagnostic test with no prep. However, I'd like to get this to the 750+ range.
I'm tired of doing all of these useless questions...I thought Kaplan GMAT 800 would give me some hard quant but that is not the case. I hate using "backsolving" and "plugging" strategies and prefer to keep things symbolic and rigorous.
What are prep materials that give me only the HARDEST permutation/combination, geometry, etc questions? Also, the hardest reading comp questions often give me trouble, but I find half the time I still disagree with the answer after reading the explanation.
It seems that no one likes the 800score tests on here, but I know 4 people who used the tests (from another forum) and ALL got 780s. Why the hate? I'm not looking for realistic questions...I'm looking for questions and strategies that represent the top 10% of difficulty on the exam. Which resources are the best for my purposes? I'm looking for both a quant overview/strategy section and general practice questions.
