So,
My story is prob not typical. ( Im that guy)
I started this mission 4 years out of my BS ( haven't studied anything since)
First exam was a kaplan CD test -510
Then I took Veritas Prep Full course, took it lightly I didnt do the homework each week I payed attention In class but was distracted by a few females.
Class was May08-June I didnt take any exams during.
In September I got my act together and started prepping for my Oct 10 test date.
Went hardcore for 3 weeks 6-7 hours a day doing homework from veritas, going over lecture, doing the Flashcards( which helped alot!) and about 14 practice exams ( ARCO 800 score all veritas etc)
On the exams The first 10 or so were just quant and verbal no essays.
I found myself running out of time on quant almost every time. Doing mostly better on quant than verbal.

Sorry if that formatted wrong but its a sample log of my exams.
****So for timing issues I tried an arco test with no time limit I would pause the exam and It did not improve my score.
The last exams I was doing 1/2 essays to help with stamina.
Test Day- I went the day before to get to know the center, took the test at 4:30 im not a morning person. But for my 2nd attempt I may go a little early
Did the essays, I psyched myself out bc i had memorized templates for each essay. After doing the first I had thought I had used the wrong template as I assumed somehow I got the argument question first. ( Which I think its always the same order can someone clarify that)
So first 10 I was a little shaken went to restrom ate a snack came back for Quant.
Tried to focus on the first 7 questions
around 5 It got really hard, panicked took too much time worked out long ways to problems.
I think i have a hard time recognizing the easy way to answer questions. I know theres a easy way to do it but I go for the long time consuming ways when panicking .
This ate up my time.
Noticed quesitons 11-15 were easy. Was allways thinking I got the one before wrong etc.
15-20 were harder.
20- 25 were ok didnt know but I was running out of time.
the last questions. I literaly had 5 min to do so They looked really simple!! but I had to guess as I know Its worse if i dont finish.
Literally last question was 15 seconds.
At this point I was sweating.
Got up left room ate snack tried to clear my mind spoke to front desk. Right before I had to use the restroom. Came back and the proctor couldnt find my name on the computer took her about a min
came back and I had gone over my break 11min.
Wasn't panicking bc I normally have to much time on verbal. I did the verbal was numb. I cant tell if its hard or easy.
Finished exam
Crossed my fingers
and 520
Verbal 31
Quant 30
How do I overcome timing issues.? How do I get better recognition of the problem. I know I have pritty bad test anxiety.
But It seems I look at it and the solution doesn't jump out.
Really need help. going to retake it mid november.
What should I work on now.
In the meantime Im going to finish all the veritas problems.
I have all the books in PDF og etc.
