Excel spreadsheets

hay guys

I noticed that people studying for the gmat use excel spreadsheets to identify their problem areas, the amount of time taken on a problem, accuracy etc.

I was wondering how the whole excel spreadsheet works, how exactly do I go about finding out and learning to use excel for my gmat studies? Maybe someone knows a site where i can find out how to use it and how people are using it for their gmat studies?

Thanks

Thanks for the information, very useful.

Are there guys who create their own spreadsheets, if so how do they go about doing it? what do they focus on?

In addition, should one be timing each question completed or rather a few questions, what do you guys think is more effective?

Last question, for the quantitative section what is the average time spent on each question? I heard 2 mins
